- I'm 100% certain the bell housing will be different. My 98 Dakota 318 had the nv3500. Chevy starters are block mounted and dodge mounts theirs to the bell housing. Is the front drive shaft on the same side as your ram? Transfer case angle the same. The chevy has IFS so it might be tucked up a little higher. Justthings to consider.
